Our customer in the camera industry had a complicated component comprised of a number of moving parts. They initially came to RD Machine for our expertise in machining and assembly of complex parts.

From Prototype to Production

We were able to enhance the product design using our in-house fixturing and programming to get them to work properly. Our customer liked the quality of the prototype we created, so we moved in to production. Using a multi-axis CNC machine, we machined the many complex, moving parts and assembled them.  Anodizing, a process that converts a metal surface into a colorful corrosion-resistant finish, was done in black and red to the customer’s specifications for a very attractive and sophisticated final product.
